GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Troopers said a man faces a list of charges after fleeing the scene of a crash that claimed a pedestrian's life in Greenville County Wednesday night.

The crash happened just before 10 p.m. on Arch Street near Highway 253.

Troopers said 26-year-old Lonel Ali Teasley was heading east on Arch Street in a 1990 Chevy S10 pickup when he unlawfully passed another vehicle, ran off the road, struck a pedestrian who was walking along the shoulder of the road, and then fled the scene on foot.

The coroner said the pedestrian, 48-year-old Michael Edward Carson of Seneca, died at the scene.

Investigators were able to track Teasley down and he was arrested early Thursday morning.

Teasley was charged with felony DUI resulting in death, leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death, no driver’s license, improper tag,  and failure to register motor vehicle.
