Police: 1 captured, 1 sought after Rutherfordton shooting

RUTHERFORDTON, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Officers with the Rutherfordton Police Department said Thursday that one man wanted in connection with a shooting and armed robbery was arrested and a second suspect was being sought.

Police said Daveon Tyrell Twitty and Dereese Matthew Miller were charged after a shooting that occurred on Collett Street on Nov. 26.

Officers said they tracked Twitty to a location in Polk County and arrested him on Wednesday.

Twitty is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, shooting into occupied dwelling, and possession of firearm by convicted felon.

Police are still asking for help locating Miller. Miller is wanted for Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery.
