Biltmore Forest police accepting donations for TN wildfire victims

BILTMORE FOREST, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Officials with the Biltmore Forest Police Department said Thursday that their building would serve as a collection site for those donating to relief efforts for wildfire victims in Tennessee.

Police said the following items are needed for fire relief efforts and fire relief victims living in the shelters:

  • adult and children sized apparel
  • footwear
  • blankets
  • over-the-counter medication
  • personal hygiene products, tooth brushes, tooth paste
  • diapers
  • flashlights
  • baby formula
  • toiletries
  • children's toys
  • water
  • baby wipes
  • dog food
  • kennels

Those who wish to donate can drop off items at the Biltmore Police Department between Thursday and Saturday night. Skyland Fire Department and Biltmore Police Department will deliver the items to Tennessee wildfire victims on Sunday.
