Hot weather will remain the story as highs approach 90 degrees into the first part of next week.
This afternoon will bring a mix of sun and fair weather cumulus clouds with temperatures in the 80s.
Tonight will be mild in the lower to middle 60s, which is how we’ll begin the work week, followed by similarly warm conditions with slightly higher humidity.
The mountains will also begin to see their typical summer-time isolated afternoon storm chances, which should kick back off again in the Upstate on Tuesday.
Along with the seasonal warmth, those small afternoon rain chances will continue through the middle of the week, and increase a touch more for Thursday, Friday and Saturday as a cold front approaches the area from the west.
Despite our strengthening rain chances throughout the week, as of now, no days look to be complete washouts, but it should be enough to allow our heat to subside.
