Warm and muggy conditions continue today with a mix of clouds and sun and highs in the middle 80s in the mountains and upper 80s in the Upstate.
This afternoon will bring hit and miss showers and perhaps a thunderstorm or two in both the Upstate and mountains that will dissipate by late this evening.
The rest of the night will be dry with lows in the middle to upper 60s. A similar day will be had tomorrow as our heat and humidity build a little bit more which will allow for a few more showers and thunderstorms to form during the 2nd half of the day.
A cold front will approach the area from the west on Thursday and Friday which is when our afternoons will be the rainiest across most of the region.
Those chances will back off a little bit this weekend, but will still pose a threat for typical afternoon summertime rain-makers which will continue into early next week.
