GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville City Council has officially changed the rules for hanging flags and signs from parking garages.

Council voted unanimously in support of regulating the areas, after a confederate flag was hung up on the garage across from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena back in March during the NCAA basketball tournament.

Prior to the incident, there was no ordinance stating parking garages managed by the city could not be used for expression.
