Wil Brasington wins Greenville City GOP primary for District 4 seat

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Residents living in Greenville’s District Four voted in a primary election for the district’s City Council Seat on Tuesday.

Wil Brasington challenged incumbent David Sudduth. Both are Republicans.

Polls were open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Unofficial results from the election revealed Brasington as the front runner.

Here are the vote totals:

  • Wil Brasington - 1,122
  • David Sudduth - 772

The race will be decided during the general election on Nov. 7.

Brasington is running unopposed.

He posted the following statement of thanks on his Facebook page:

"Thank you to all the people who helped me win this election. I look forward to serving the people of District 4 on Greenville City Council. Thank you to David Sudduth for his years of service to Greenville."

Brasington also posted a video thanking everyone for their support.
