The hot and humid weather with afternoon storms continues today and the next few days.
A mix of sun and clouds will once again warm the Upstate up to the upper 80s this afternoon and the mountains into the middle 80s. Storms will fire up again early this afternoon in western North Carolina, and then move south into the Upstate later on.
Like yesterday, some could produce locally damaging wind and small hail. That will also hold true moving forward with the proceeding days’ storm chances.
After a near-identical day tomorrow, a cold front will move through on Friday and Saturday, which will help create additional storm development in the afternoon.
Our rain chances will back off a little bit for Father’s Day, but still be on the lookout for a few storms to form in the afternoon, before backing off more by next Tuesday.
