Today brings a continuation of thunderstorm chances to the forecast, mainly in the afternoon and early evening. Gusty, perhaps damaging wind will again be possible in the strongest storms. Expect highs in the 80s to near 90 degree with heat index readings 88-93 F.
The entire forecast area is under a "marginal" risk for severe weather in the afternoon for the potential of gusty storms.
For Friday and the weekend, a slight increase in the number of afternoon storms is expected. Once again, the primary window for storm development will be from Noon-8 PM. Highs remain in the 80s with heat index values reaching 90-95 F.
Next week, a weakening front will bring a continued risk of locally numerous afternoon storms on Monday. For now, a general decrease in activity is possible by Tuesday and Wednesday.
