On Thursday ChartSpan Medical Technologies said it closed a $16 million round of venture capital funding which is expected to create hundreds of new jobs.

ChartSpan, located on North Main Street in downtown Greenville, is anticipating 300 new jobs to open up in the next 18 months. The announcement comes in addition to 200 new jobs created in the last 15 months.

The company said most of these jobs will include nurses and certified healthcare clinicians.
