Anderson County deputies confirmed a chase ended in a crash Friday morning.
The crash occurred on Williams Road at Old River Road around 11:30 a.m.
A spokesperson for the Anderson County Sheriff's Office said deputies attempted to stop a vehicle at Osteen and Williamston roads due to an equipment violation.
The driver refused to stop and fled, deputies said, before crashing into an embankment.
Deputies said after the crash, the suspect began to flee on foot but was subdued and taken into custody.
The suspect has not yet been identified.
