The planned outage is scheduled for maintenance at the Green Pond Substation and is expected to impact approximately 3,300 customers near Highway 24 and Whitehall Road including parts of Highway 187 South.

The outage is scheduled for 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, June 17 until 12:29 a.m. on Sunday, June 18.

Residents in the affected area requiring power for special medical equipment are urged to take precautions now.

Traffic lights will be out at Highway 24, S.C. Route 24 at New Hope Road, Whitehall and New Prospect, Highway 24 and Highway 187. Deputies reminded the public to treat intersections without functioning traffic signals the same as those controlled by stop signs.
