JONESVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Union County Sheriff's Office was called to investigate an accidental shooting on Friday afternoon.

Dispatchers said the incident was reported in the 1100 block of Old Spartanburg Highway.

Sheriff David Taylor said a 22-year-old victim was accidentally shot by a 13-year-old

Taylor said the pair were fishing behind a residence near the pond area, and the teen dropped a gun, striking the victim.

The victim was transported to Spartanburg Regional with non-life-threatening injuries.
