Deputies said a man is facing multiple charges after his mother was found slain at a home on Saturday.

According to the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, deputies got a call around 8:30 p.m. about a vehicle that had just been stolen at a home on the 100 block of Hartwick Lane

Deputies said a witness followed the suspect and provided them with updated locations until deputies were able to respond to the scene.

Once deputies were able to locate the suspect vehicle driving northbound on I-385, they initiated a traffic stop, but the suspect refused to pull over and a chase ensued.

Deputies were eventually able to get the vehicle to stop around 9:05 p.m., and took the driver into custody near 1 Liberty Plaza in Greenville near the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

The suspect was later identified as 44-year-old Christopher Lee Oliver. He is charged with murder, two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, two counts of carjacking, grand larceny and failure to stop for blue lights.

His bond was denied at a hearing on Monday.

During the pursuit, deputies at the Hartwick lane residence discovered a significant amount of blood in and around the home before discovering a woman dead, inside.

The coroner said the woman suffered multiple sharp force injuries. She was pronounced dead on scene and her death was later ruled a homicide.. The coroner later identified the victim as 70-year-old Que T. Oliver of Fountain Inn.

Deputies confirmed the victim was the mother of murder suspect Christopher Oliver. According to arrest warrants, he stabbed her numerous times with a knife. The coroner could not confirm how many times the victim was stabbed.

Warrants also indicate Oliver stole a Honda Civic from two occupants at knifepoint.

A neighbor told FOX Carolina it was her 15-year-old grandson's car that was stolen from the property. She said they were sitting in the car in the driveway when they saw the suspect approaching.

She said Oliver was naked and covered in what she initially thought to be oil. When he got closer, that's when she realized it was blood, she said. The woman said the man approached the car from the side and held out a butcher knife and told the woman and her grandson to get out of the car. He then took off in the car, she said.

There are still blood drops on her driveway, the woman said.

An eyewitness at the scene said Oliver was completely naked when taken into custody following the chase and crash. According to the witness, four law enforcement vehicles were able to stop the car before officials busted out its window and dragged Oliver out to put him in an ambulance.
