Storm chances continue for the first part of the week while attention remains on the tropics for Friday and the weekend.
Showers and storms in the mountains will push into the Upstate today, mainly in the afternoon and tonight. The storms also have the potential of producing damaging wind and perhaps some small hail.
The cold front will still be on its way through the Upstate tomorrow, so we’ll continue to have quite a few storms throughout the day Tuesday before drying up a lot more on Wednesday with just the possibility of a stray storm or two.
Thursday through Sunday’s weather will be dependent on how a tropical system in the Gulf of Mexico behaves, but as of now it looks like our rain chances will be fairly minimal Thursday, but then will gradually increase Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
There remains two schools of thought on its eventual track, and more on these can be found HERE.
