Several Marines and Navy Corpsman will spend part of the week relaxing on Lake Keowee, according to a news release from Honoring Their Service.

The group of service members and their families will get a police and motorcycle escort from Easley through Pickens County and into the Keowee Key community.

The parade is set to begin around 2:15 p.m. in Easley. The more than 200 motorcycles will be decorated with patriotic colors and flags, and will travel SC 93 through Easley, Liberty, Norris, Central, and Clemson, where the route will turn onto US 123 and onto SC 130 toward Salem.

The service members will spend three days enjoying some rest and relaxation as guests of the Keowee Key community members.

The annual event is organized by the group Honoring Their Service.

“We want them to know how much we Americans do appreciate what they do on our behalf. We hope you can join us,” organizers said in a news release.

The annual retreat for service members is now in its ninth year.
