Fire chief: Multiple fire departments respond to house fire in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Multiple fire departments responded to a residential fire in Anderson County Monday night.

Per fire officials, the call came in at 7:35 p.m. that a home caught fire on the 2000 block of Scarborough Road.

The Centerville and Center Rock Fire Departments responded to the blaze.

The fire chief said something inside the home caught fire and the resident inside the home was able to make it out safely.

Only the roof sustained damage in the fire, per the chief.

No further details were released.

The fire is under investigation.
