Alzheimer's Association's Longest Day fundraiser takes place Wednesday

SIMPSONVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

On Wednesday, hundreds of people throughout South Carolina will spend the longest day of the year doing what they love to support the Alzheimer's Association.

It is a fundraising event called The Longest Day, and participants are asked to sign up and take part in any activity of their choice to fundraise and help put an end to Alzheimer’s disease.

To sign up and take part, or to donate to a person or team head to alz.org.

One celebration is being held at The Loom in Simpsonville. The party starts at 6:30 p.m. and will include food and drink to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association South Carolina chapter. Tickets are still available at the door of you'd like to attend.
