ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson police announced Wednesday that the suspect in a March shooting death had been arrested.

Police had been searching for Darryl Lamar Lewis Thompson, 27, since late April when he was identified as a suspect. Police said their investigation revealed that Thompson killed Rickey Montez Grove Jr. on High Street on March 25.

Thompson was apprehended at a location on Bayhill Circle.

He is currently being held on five counts of failure to appear after release for a felony and probation violation. He was also charged in Grove's homicide.

During a bond hearing Thursday morning, the judge denied bond on the charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

The judge also revealed Thompson faces city charges of driving a vehicle without permission, driving under suspension, and prowling.

Grove's father was present for the bond hearing.
