Power restored to over 1600 in Macon Co.

FRANKLIN, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Over 1,600 Duke Energy customers were without power in Franklin, NC Saturday morning.

Per the Duke Energy Outage Map, the outage was affecting 1,678 customers at 12:25 p.m.

The cause of the outage was fallen trees damaging the power equipment.

The restoration time was set at 2:15 p.m. for some customers in Franklin along Murphy Road, and at 4:30 p.m. for customers along Wayah Road.

Power was restored to all customers around 5:30 p.m.
