EASLEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

It was around 9:50 a.m. when the City of Easley Fire Department arrived at 1112 Old Liberty Road to battle a house fire.

The first units on the scene reported heavy fire and smoke coming from a double-wide mobile home.

Fire Chief Butch Womack said the fire was brought under control within one hour with the help of about 20 personnel and 3 engine companies.

Womack said the home had no fire detection system, or smoke detectors, inside.

Liberty Fire Department, Rescue 8 and EMS all responded to assist with putting the fire down and administering firefighter rehab.

No one was injured in the fire, and following an investigation by the Easley Fire Department Cause and Origin Team, Womack said it's believed to have started unintentionally.
