Police: Suspect pulls gun on mother, son outside Spartanburg bank

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Spartanburg Police Department was called to a disturbance outside a bank on Saturday evening.

Officers said around 8:30 p.m., they were dispatched to United Community Bank on East Main Street.

According to the police report, a man and his mother were driving down East Main Street when a white Chevy truck slammed on the brakes in front of his car.

Officers said the victim pulled turned into the bank to assess the situation when the truck pulled into the parking lot next to them. The pair told investigators there were two bald men in the truck during the incident.

The victims said one man got out of the truck and pointed a gun at them, threatening their lives.

The female victim told police the gunman said "the best thing she could do was get her [expletive] back in the car." The woman called 911 and the suspects left the scene.

Deputies said the victims had no visible injuries but were shaken up.
