Red Cross assisting 1 adult after heavy fire damages home in Greer

GREER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Multiple fire units responded to the scene of a heavy residential fire in Greer Monday evening.

Our FOX Carolina crew on scene saw a well-involved mobile home located on the 3200 block of North Howell Road.

Fire officials say they were dispatched to the home at 7:28 p.m., arrived at 7:34 p.m. and the fire was under control within 15 minutes.

The home was deemed a total loss.

No one was injured in the blaze. The one occupant of the home was able to make it out of the home safely.

The Lake Cunningham Fire Department, Greer Fire Department, EMS, Greer Police Department and Greenville County Sheriff's Office all responded to the incident.

The Red Cross is assisting the individual by providing financial assistance for food, clothing , lodging and other essentials.

The fire is under investigation.
