Police: 2 teens recovering after drive-by shooting in Spartanburg

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Two teens are recovering in the hospital following a drive by shooting in Spartanburg, according to police.

Officers responded to the 600 block of Charlie Mae Campbell Lane is reference to a shooting incident around 8:30 p.m. Monday.

When officers arrives on scene they were told that two males had been shot as a result of a drive-by shooting.

Both victims were no longer on scene. They had been transported to the hospital in privately-owned vehicles.

Police said one of the victims, a 15-year-old, was shot in the upper leg. The second victim, a 16-year-old, was shot in the chest.

Both victims were conscious when they arrived at the hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

According to the incident report from the Spartanburg Police Department, a witness heard three gunshots and saw a silver vehicle speeding away. Investigators found two bullet casings at the scene.
