GREENWOOD, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenwood Police have arrested a man on multiple drug charges after they say he was reported passed out at a red light on Tuesday.

Police say Zachary Brandon Ott, 32, was charged with possession of synthetic marijuana, and possession of prescription medication without a prescription.

Officers say they were dispatched around 1:44 p.m. to check on a driver who had passed out at a red light. Officers say they located the vehicle as it was pulling into a parking lot off S. Main Street.

Officers then made contract with Ott to check on his welfare, they said.

Police say Ott appeared to be acting unusual and consented to a search of his person and vehicle.

Police found the following:

  • a bottle of prescription medication in his vehicle that was not prescribed to Ott
  • a small quantity of what is believed to be “K-2”, or synthetic marijuana, which was located on his person

Ott is currently behind bars at the Greenwood County Detention Center.
