The muggy air is back, and showers and storms will become more likely over the upcoming days.
Friday will be mostly cloudy with on and off rain likely. Some thunder is possible but severe storms are not expected. Highs stay nearly 10 degrees below average, only warming to 80 in the Upstate and 75 in the mountains.
Friday night, showers will wind down with lows in the 60s, so evening fireworks should be OK for the most part.
On Saturday, temperatures return to the upper 80s Upstate and low 80s in the mountains, with spotty storms in the afternoon and evening. Again, storms look to wind down as the sun sets, so it still looks OK for most fireworks.
Sunday follows suit, getting even hotter in the 80s to low 90s.
Next week stays hot, with small afternoon storm chances. Expect highs in the 80s to low 90s for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, finally dipping back into the 80s late-week as a better chance for storms arrives.
