UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Union Police Department is investigating after bullets were fired into a home on Wednesday.

Officers said the incident occurred just before 6 a.m. on Second Avenue.

A couple at the home told police they were sleeping when they heard what sounded like three shots and tires squealing. The male resident said he saw bullet holes when he got up and realized a gun had been fired at the home.

In the incident report, officers noted several bullet holes in the front of the home and bullet holes on the inside where the bullets had come through the house.

A 6-year-old child and a 6-month-old baby were in the home when the shooting occurred.

No suspects have been identified in the case.
