Power restored to thousands in Greenville Co. after crash, outage

TAYLORS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Duke Energy reported an outage affecting nearly 3,000 customers on Thursday night.

The outage was reported in the area of Wade Hampton Boulevard and West Lee Road around 6:15 p.m.

The Duke Energy online outage map said the outage was caused by a vehicle damaging equipment.

Duke Energy estimated power restoration by 9 p.m.

Our FOX Carolina crew at Wade Hampton Street Blvd and Cherokee Street said power was restored just before 8 p.m. According to the Duke Energy Outage Map, 228 customers were still without power as of 8:30 p.m.
