JONESVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Two people were hurt when a car crashed into a tree that had fallen across a road in Union County early Friday morning, according to first responders at the scene.

The crash happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. on South Jonesville Highway near Plant Road.

First responders did not know the extent of the victims’ injuries.

Troopers were called to investigate the crash.

The tree and the wreckage have since been cleared from the roadway.
