Deputies: High Point coach charged after assault at kindergarten graduation

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office said an Upstate coach is charged after assaulting a woman at a school function.

Deputies said on May 30, the victim was at High Point Academy for a kindergarten graduation. Around 7 p.m., the victim told deputies a woman touched her inappropriately by squeezing her buttocks.

Deputies said Nichole Cohen was charged with second-degree assault and battery in connection with the incident.

High Point Academy confirmed Cohen coached basketball and was an ISS Instructor at the school but was immediately placed on paid administrative leave from her position after her arrest.
