SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Heidi Marie McKay, 38, could have just shown up for her court appearance on June 12, but deputies said she had other plans.

Instead, officials with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office said the Solicitor's Office received a call advising there was a bomb in the county courthouse that day.

The courthouse was evacuated.

Deputies said the investigation led to surveillance footage from a Dollar General store in Greenville - the phone used to make the bomb threat had been purchased there about 40 minutes prior to the call.

McKay was identified as the woman in the footage who'd purchased the phone. Coincidentally, McKay was also scheduled to appear in court on June 12, to plead to a financial transaction card fraud charge. She never showed up.

Heidi McKay was arrested in Greenville today with the help of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office. She was was charged with making a bomb threat.
