Troopers: Driver charged with DUI, failure to stop after traffic stop leads to chase, crash in Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Troopers confirmed that a chase ended in a crash in Greenville Saturday night.

They said a vehicle ended up wrecking at Anderson Road and Dunean Street.

The chase started as a an attempted traffic stop at 11:27 p.m. and ended shortly after, troopers say.

Joe Hovis with SCHP said the subject had a red light violation. He said the subject ran in a ditch during the chase and was apprehended.

Hovis confirmed Monday that the suspect had been identified as 21-year-old Jesse A. Cole.

Cole was charged with driving under the influence and failure to stop for blue lights.
