PICKENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Two Ingles coworkers are credited for rescuing a kitten out of storm drain on Sunday in Pickens.

Jamie Koch said she was on break at work when she heard the distressed meows of a kitten coming from a storm drain. She said she called police to help, and while she waited she captured video of the kitten's moment of distress.

Before officers could arrive, Koch's coworker jumped into action and transformed into a hero - bucket in hand.

The two of them were able to jam the bucket into the storm drain and Koch says the kitten jumped right in!

Koch says the kitten was safely removed from the drain with plans to share a loving home with her coworker.
