Coroner: Man dies after June 20 wreck in Spartanburg

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Spartanburg County Coroner’s office said Monday that a man had died nearly three weeks after being injured in a wreck.

The crash happened in the city of Spartanburg on June 20.

The coroner identified the victim as James Curtis Cook, 25, of South Pine Street in Pacolet.

Cook died at the hospital on Sunday afternoon.

Coroner Rusty Clevenger said the cause of death would be determined once organ procurement procedures are finalized and the coroner’s office can examine the body.
