Hot and muggy conditions will persist through the 4th of July, and we’ll be watching each afternoon for pop-up storms. Conditions clear up toward late in the week.
Storms are starting to push through the Upstate now with heavy rain and lots of lightning.
The Fourth of July is looking like CLASSIC summer with highs in the low 90s for the Upstate and mid 80s in the mountains with scattered afternoon storms. Best time to be outside will be before 4PM, but even after that you may stay dry. Storms will be spotty, and most likely between 4-8PM.
Fireworks shows should be mostly dry, but there could still be a few lingering showers once the sun goes down.
Scattered storms will continue to be possible through the rest of the week, however it does look like we may catch a break from rain toward Friday into the weekend.
