BILTMORE FOREST, NC (FOX Carolina) -

The Biltmore Forest Police Department said crews are working to repair a natural gas line Monday after it was cut.

The incident occurred on Westwood Road, which was closed for approximately half an hour due to the gas leak.

Officers said residents in the area may experience service interrupts and a natural gas smell until the line can be repaired.

Just before 4:30 p.m., Bilmore Forest officers said the line was closed and the roadway reopened.

Skyland Fire Department is on scene.
