SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg County deputies advised that they will conduct a public safety checkpoint within the county on Tuesday, to look for seat belt and child restraint compliance while enforcing other traffic laws.

Motorists will be asked to show a driver’s license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance at the checkpoint.

Deputies said the goal is to reduce traffic accidents and injuries within the county.

A location for the checkpoint was not announced.
