ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

8-year-old Tyler, who is known as the “Donut Boy,” will visit Asheville Police Department on Wednesday.

Tyler said he has traveled to more than 5 states, including Alabama and Georgia to give donuts, coffee, and sometimes cupcakes to police officers.

He said he decided to give donuts to all the cops in America after he visited and bought his local cops donuts to thank them for their service.

So far he has given more than four thousand donuts, bought with his own money.

One day, he hopes to also be a police officer.

He will visit the Asheville Police Department at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, wearing his “I donut need a reason to thank a cop” cape.
