Police: Woman arrested after shooting in Hendersonville

HENDERSONVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

The Hendersonville Police Department said a woman is charged after a shooting on July 4.

Police Chief Hebert Blake said the incident occurred on Woodcock Drive. A victim was transported to Mission Hospital with injuries.

Blake said Barbara Singleton Smith was arrested in connection with the case and is believed to be the suspect who fired the shots. Smith is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

The investigation is ongoing.
