BELTON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Just off Highway 29 in Belton is a space with plans for a bright future.

"It's 23 acres and it's perfect for what we have planned," said Connie Turner, the co-owner of Blue Jar Barn which is an event space for reunions, corporate meetings and weddings.

"I really love being married and I think if you have the right person, it's great," she said.

Those interested in new nuptials or vow renewals can get hitched on the property. Turner went in on the venue with her two brothers and mom, and to kick-off the new family business they wanted an experience that would be out-of-sight.

Turner said the Blue Jar Barn is in the direct path of the total solar eclipse on Aug. 21. Scientists say South Carolina is one of the best places to witness the 2017 solar eclipse which happens when the moon passes between the sun and earth and the moon blocks the sun.

For $300, couples can get in on a 15-minute wedding ceremony, which will take place in a field just before the eclipse.

"We will have a minister on site and also a professional photographer," Turner said. "Right as they're man and wife or they reaffirm their vows, they turn, put the glasses on."

Specific shades are needed to protect eyes because of radiation from the eclipse and if the ceremony isn't memorable enough, there's another way to mark the occasion.

The fee also includes wedding cake for the couples to share.

"We're going to invite them to write a love letter, put it in our little blue jar," Turner said."Maybe on their year anniversary, come back and dig it up."
