Deputies investigating accidental shooting in Buncombe Co.

WEAVERVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Officials with the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office were investigating an accidental shooting on Wednesday.

Natalie Bailey of the Sheriff's Office told FOX an accidental shooting appeared to have taken place on Ox Hill Road in the Weaverville area. 

Deputies got a call to the incident around 6:17 p.m. and arrived shortly after.

Bailey said there is no apparent threat to community safety at this time, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
