Outages, downed trees reported in Carolinas amid storm

POWDERSVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Pop-up storms moved through the Carolinas again on Thursday, causing damage due to winds.

As of 5 p.m., Duke Energy reported the following outages:

  • Buncombe County - 1,678
  • Anderson County - 1,462
  • Greenville - 129

The National Weather Service said downed trees were reported in the Powdersville area of Anderson Count. One witness, Ben Allen, shared a photo of a downed tree on Mount Airy Church Road.
