Storms cause wide spread power outages in Upstate; several trees down

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Hundreds of people are without power in the Upstate as a storm with heavy rain and gusty winds passes through Saturday evening.

Per the Duke Energy Outage Map, over 500 are without power in Greenville County and nearly 200 are without power in Chesnee.

Several other outages are reported around the area. Check the outage map here.

SC Highway Patrol is also reporting at least 11 trees down in Spartanburg County.
