ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A man with warrants out of three Upstate counties was arrested on Sunday.

Deputies with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office say 34-year-old Jonathan Wayne Herndon of Pelzer had an active warrant for grand larceny as well as active warrants out of Spartanburg and Greenville Counties.

Investigators say they received a tip that Herndon would be at a residence on Richardson Drive on Sunday at 3 p.m. so multiple units set up a road block in the area at that time. A Greenville County helicopter was also requested to assist.

Deputies were able to apprehend Herndon as he attempted to exit the driveway on a black motorcycle. He was placed into investigative detention.

Herndon faces the following charges:

  • Grand larceny, value more than $2,000 but less than $10,000 for an incident that deputies say occurred on June 28. Deputies say Herndon stole a 1995 Mercedes valued at approximately $4,500.
  • Receiving stolen goods, value $10,000 or more for an incident deputies say occurred on July 9. Investigators say Herndon was found in possession of a reportedly stolen 2016 Honda CVR motorcycle.

Herndon is currently behind bars at the Anderson County Detention Center.
