Deputies investigate thefts from school construction site

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies in Spartanburg County are investigating thefts from the construction site of the new Fairfield Middle School on Lincoln School Road.

Deputies were called to the construction site on Monday after construction workers discovered a metal container had been broken into.

Workers said a Stihl pipe saw and a Bomag Tamp, which is used for packing dirt, had been taken from the container.

The theft occurred sometime between Friday night and 8 a.m. Monday.

No suspects have been named.
