Hot and humid conditions linger for the remainder of the week, with afternoon storms popping up more each day into the weekend.
Hot and sticky conditions will continue this afternoon with just a small risk of a shower or storm in the Upstate. The number of isolated showers or storms will be higher in the mountains; this activity should gradually fade away after sunset.
Tomorrow will be similarly warm with a few more afternoon thunderstorms, but it’s Friday and Saturday that will produce the most storm activity with the help of a front moving in from the northwest.
The chance of rain will begin to decrease after Sunday, but a few showers or storms could linger into Monday.
