GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville police are investigating a crash on Rutherford Street at Stone Avenue that occurred Wednesday morning.

The crash happened in front of the Triune Mercy Center and involved a pickup truck and a sedan.

Police said one of the parties was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Rutherford Street was blocked off to traffic after the crash. The road reopened just before 7 a.m.

A traffic accident reconstruction team was called in to investigate what led up to the crash.
