SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

When you walk into Hub City Scoops in Spartanburg, things are pretty cool there.

"We normally have about 50 or 60 on hand on any given time here in the shop," Kathy Silverman said. She's the owner of the ice cream shop and she likes the variety of flavors it offers.

"Kids love ice cream, adults love ice cream, who doesn't love ice cream," Silverman said.

When she hears that more ice cream lovers are in town it allows her to scoop up more business.

"That's a big deal for Spartanburg," she said.

Basketball players, teams, coaches and fans will pack the Upward Star Center for several days during tournaments.

"It's very exciting that we can bring not just football, but also basketball to the state of South Carolina," Dipali Britton said.

She's the business development manager with Upward Star Center.

"It's very big for us. We have 400 division one coaches coming to Spartanburg, coming to the Star Center," Britton said."There's going to be over 200  teams that are going to be here- that's hotel nights, that's those folks eating here at our restaurants."

Hometown high school basketball star Zion Williamson will also hit the court. He's a fan favorite, which is a big draw for crowds.

"In addition to Zion, we have six or seven of the top ESPN players here," Britton said. "And also the number one Sophomore in the country."

The exposure also means a look at the facility.

"This area will welcome our college coaches and that way no general public will be able to get upstairs," Britton said.

She wants coaches and players to bounce into town again- which is win for the facility and a win for the Spartanburg area.
