A Campobello man was charged with attempted murder and domestic violence high and aggravated after deputies said he intentionally rammed a car into another car that his pregnant girlfriend was in and then attacked her mother with a baseball bat.

The incident happened Wednesday afternoon on Bradley Dill Road.

Deputies said they arrived to find Bradley Bales, 20, walking around the front yard area, and when he saw deputies, he reportedly began stating that he had messed up.

Deputies also observed two vehicles on the property with damage.

A black Honda Accord was stopped at the end of the driveway and partially in the roadway. The car had front end damage.

Deputies also saw a gray Chevy Tahoe in the front lawn with damage to the front and rear driver side doors.

Deputies said Bales admitted that he hurt the victims, a 19-year-old woman and her 36-year-old mother.

According to incident reports, Bales used his car to intentionally strike the other car twice while the victims were inside. Bales is then accused of retrieving a bat from the trunk of his car and hitting the mother in the head and body.

According to the arrest warrants, the assault left the mother unconscious.

Bales was arrested at the scene.
