SIMPSONVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

More than 350 cyclists will begin a three-day journey from the Upstate to the Lowcountry on Friday when the annual Ride to Remember gets underway.

The annual ride serves as a fundraiser to help the Alzheimer’s Association fight Alzheimer’s disease and support families touched by the disease.

Cyclists raised more than $536,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association ahead of this year’s cross-state ride.

On Friday, cyclists will pedal 65 miles from Simpsonville to Newberry. On Saturday, they will travel 89 miles from Newberry to Orangeburg, and on Sunday they will complete the final 99-mile leg from Orangeburg to Charleston.
